Afghans react to Indian missile attack on Afghanistan
Afghanistan’s Caretaker Government (Taliban) Defense Ministry Rejects Pakistan’s Claim of Indian Missile Strike on Afghan Soil.
According to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and AvaPress,Enayatullah Khwarizmi,spokesperson for the National Defense Ministry,denied Pakistan’s claim that India launched a missile strike on Afghan territory,stating that such allegations are baseless.
Earlier, Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, spokesperson for the Pakistani military, alleged that India fired six missiles toward Pakistani positions, with one landing in Afghanistan.
Chaudhry stated during a press briefing that the six ballistic missiles were launched from India’s Adampur Air Base in Punjab state. Without providing further details about the alleged missile landing in Afghanistan,he emphasized that India’s actions have jeopardized regional security.
Tensions between Pakistan and India escalated following last month’s attack on a group of tourists in Indian-controlled Kashmir,which left 26 dead.
