French Government Reacts to Video of President with UK PM and German Chancellor,Suspicious White Package Alleged to Be Cocaine Hidden
The English section of Webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and the Daily Mail,reports that the French government has responded to claims by a Russian media outlet regarding a video showing President Emmanuel Macron alongside UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on a train bound for Kyiv. The controversy centers on allegations that Macron attempted to hide a suspicious white package—purportedly cocaine—from view during the recording.
Macron, Merz, and Starmer traveled yesterday (sunday) to meet with ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The foreign ministers of Ukraine and Poland traveled by train from poland to Kyiv to express support for Ukraine and pressure Russia into accepting a ceasefire.
The Élysée Palace responded to the video with a message on X,claiming that the package on the table was merely a tissue,stating: “When European unity becomes irritating,misinformation reaches such extremes that even a simple tissue is portrayed as resembling drugs!”
