Turkey’s President Recep ⁤Tayyip Erdoğan met with NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg on ⁢Tuesday at the Beştepe Presidential ‌Complex ​in Ankara ⁢to discuss the ‌ Russia-Ukraine war, according to a report ⁢by turkey’s Anadolu Agency cited‌ by Mehr News Agency.‌

The meeting,⁢ held without‍ media presence as announced by Turkey’s Presidential Communications Directorate, ​focused on ‌ Turkey-NATO⁢ relations, developments⁤ in ​the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and regional and global issues.Erdoğan reaffirmed ‌Turkey’s commitment to NATO, stating that Ankara would reassume ‌command of NATO’s Kosovo Force (KFOR) peacekeeping mission.​ He emphasized​ that Turkey‌ expects​ allied cooperation‌ in combating terrorism and pledged to strengthen NATO despite domestic and international challenges. ‌

The​ Turkish president‌ noted Ankara’s intensified efforts to end the ⁤Russia-Ukraine war through ‍diplomacy, including meetings with leaders of‍ both nations.
