Start of foreign ministers meeting of Arab countries in Iraq
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, the meeting of Arab foreign ministers to prepare for the 34th summit of Arab leaders began on Thursday in Baghdad.
the Arab League summit is scheduled to take place this coming Saturday. Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani opened the meeting with his speech and handed over its presidency to his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein.
Fuad Hussein emphasized that Iraq supports Syria’s stability and considers Palestine the central issue. Iraq reaffirmed its longstanding stance in support of the Palestinian people and the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
Ahmad Aboul gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, also stated that the Zionist regime’s schemes are endless, targeting not only Palestine but also Syria and Lebanon.
