Trump: If we don’t solve Ukraine war with Putin, things will get interesting
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and The Guardian, Donald Trump, the U.S. President, once again emphasized the need to meet with Vladimir Putin, Russia’s President.
When asked whether he had urged Putin to resolve the Ukraine war, Trump responded: “maybe. We should meet. He and I should meet. I think we’ll solve it.Maybe not—but at least we’ll know. And if we don’t solve it, things will get very interesting!”
Trump also hailed the recent ceasefire between India and Pakistan as a major success, saying: “what happened between India and Pakistan was a tremendous success. If you look at the level of violence and anger between them before—it wasn’t good.”
Trump had earlier claimed that India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire after days of cross-border firing following an attack on tourists in Pahalgam—mediated by U.S. intervention and his threat to halt trade relations with both nations. however, India later denied this claim shortly afterward, stressing that trade issues were never discussed during ceasefire negotiations.
