Former FBI director interrogated on charges of inciting Trump assassination what is the story
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Anadolu, Kirstjen Nielsen, U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, stated in a post on social media platform X that the country’s Secret Service has interrogated James Comey, the former FBI director.
Nielsen wrote: Federal agents from the Secret Service questioned Comey today regarding a social media post in which he allegedly called for the assassination of donald Trump, the U.S.president.
Her remarks came a day after Comey posted an image on instagram showing seashells arranged in the shape of numbers “47 86,” accompanied by the caption: “Interesting shell arrangement from my beach walk.”
Anadolu reported that “86” is a metaphorical term referring to physically eliminating something or someone.Merriam-Webster defines it as “refusing to serve a customer” or “getting rid/disposing of someone or something.” Meanwhile, “47” likely refers to Trump as America’s 47th president.
Even though Comey quickly deleted the image, it had already gone viral on social media.
“To ensure President Trump’s safety,” Nielsen stated she would continue taking necessary measures and added: The investigation remains ongoing.
A short time later, Comey posted another message on Instagram clarifying: I shared an image of seashells I saw during my beach walk today—apparently interpreted as political messaging. I didn’t realise some people associate these numbers with violence; this has never happened before.I oppose all forms of violence and thus removed that post.
trump accused Comey outright, telling Fox News: He knew exactly what those numbers meant—any child would know! If you were FBI director and claim ignorance about their meaning—for your data—it means ‘assassination.’
