Germany opposes France we won’t send troops to Ukraine
German Chancellor takes stance against troop deployment to Ukraine, diverging from French President’s position.
According to webangah News Agency, Chancellor Friedrich Merz emphasized after meeting with Italy’s Prime Minister that Europe is not considering sending troops to Ukraine.
DPA reported that the Chancellor stated Europe currently remains distant from discussions about deploying forces to Ukraine.
The report indicates current efforts are focused on achieving an unconditional ceasefire with Russia. Merz stressed the need to establish a framework for negotiations between Russia and ukraine.
This comes after French President Emmanuel Macron stated at the end of March that several European countries were considering sending troops to Ukraine.
