Germany opposes France we won’t send troops to Ukraine

German Chancellor takes stance against troop deployment⁤ to⁤ Ukraine, diverging from French President’s position.

According to⁢ webangah News Agency,⁣ Chancellor​ Friedrich Merz emphasized⁤ after⁤ meeting with Italy’s Prime Minister ⁢that Europe⁣ is⁢ not considering sending troops to Ukraine.

DPA reported that the Chancellor stated ‌Europe currently remains distant from discussions about deploying forces to Ukraine.

The report indicates ⁤current efforts are ‍focused on achieving an unconditional ⁤ceasefire with⁢ Russia. Merz stressed the need to ​establish a framework for negotiations between ⁤Russia⁢ and ukraine.

This comes after French⁣ President Emmanuel Macron stated at the end of March that several European countries‌ were considering ⁣sending troops⁤ to Ukraine.
