Ehud Barak slams Gaza war as disastrous failure

According too webangah News Agency, former Israeli Prime Minister‍ Ehud Barak​ stated: “We need leaders who ‌prioritize bringing back captives and ending this war.”

He added: “what’s happening ⁤in Gaza ⁢is a political war aimed at preserving⁢ the ruling coalition. There‍ are​ serious doubts about whether this military operation⁤ will achieve diffrent results​ than previous‍ attacks.”

Barak emphasized: “The ⁤military offensive will only lead to greater political and⁤ legal isolation for Israel,along with more deaths of living captives in Gaza. This ⁣operation won’t result in victory over Hamas.”

The former PM clarified: “The idea⁣ of occupying Gaza, displacing two⁣ million Palestinians, and⁢ settling ⁢Israelis there is ‌nothing but ‍an illusion that will have ‌consequences for Israel.”
