A German economic research institute has warned that the Trump administrationS proposed 50% tariffs on European goods coudl deal a €200 billion blow to Germany’s economy, according to a report by webangah News Agency.
The report states that the United States would also suffer consequences from these measures, as it relies on certain german products—such as specific types of cranes—for up to 95% of its supply.
Donald Trump recently announced plans to implement these tariffs starting January 1, citing stalled trade negotiations with the European union as justification.
