Trump’s Senior Africa Adviser Expresses Concern Over Sudan’s Darfur Situation
webangah News Agency reports that Masad Bulos, Donald Trump’s senior advisor on african affairs, has responded to the escalating crisis in Sudan.
The senior Trump advisor stated: “We are deeply concerned by the Rapid Support Forces’ attack on the World Food Program’s facility in Darfur.”
He added: “The violation of civilians’ rights in Darfur and the endangerment of humanitarian efforts demand urgent attention.”
The remarks come as a medical source in Sudan told Al Jazeera on Friday that an RSF strike on El Obeid Hospital in North Kordofan State killed five and injured ten.
Sudan’s civil war, which began in April 2023, has caused mass casualties. International organizations warn the conflict has triggered one of the world’s worst humanitarian crises.
The fighting has devastated Sudan’s economic and civil infrastructure, leaving millions facing acute hunger. Last month alone, 71 people died from starvation in Khartoum’s Omdurman district.
