California Governor: Trump’s Actions Resemble Those of a Dictator

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass warned residents in an official statement that any violence or property destruction would face “swift and decisive” consequences. On X (formerly Twitter), she affirmed: “We will always protect Angelenos’ constitutional right to peaceful assembly-but violence and vandalism will not be tolerated.”
Bass urged protesters to respect public order and others’ rights while exercising their lawful freedoms.
