Ryabkov: Iran Acts Within Its Right to Self-Defense

Sergei Ryabkov,⁢ Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, stated on⁢ Monday that threats ‍against the⁣ Bushehr nuclear power plant⁢ are extremely serious‍ adn pose notable risks.Russia⁢ is concerned about​ potential dangers to the facility.

Ryabkov emphasized that Iran is operating within its ⁣legitimate right to self-defense. Moscow ⁢remains in contact regarding‍ recent escalations between Israel ​and Iran, urging‌ Israel to exercise ⁢restraint ⁤and demonstrate common sense.

The Russian⁤ official added‌ that negotiations with U.S. representatives about iran are ongoing, ⁣stressing there is ⁤ no alternative to a political‌ and diplomatic resolution ⁣of the Israel-Iran conflict.
