580 Palestinian Martyrs and 4,000 Injured in Aid Lines
A spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital told Al Jazeera that over 580 Palestinians have been killed and more than 4,000 injured while awaiting humanitarian aid deliveries, according to a report by the English section of webangah News Agency.
The official warned that the rising number of casualties has placed unprecedented strain on Gaza’s healthcare system. He added that recent food aid distribution efforts have further exacerbated the medical crisis in the strip.
“Gaza’s medical infrastructure has nearly collapsed due to Israeli attacks,” he stated. “We are operating under extremely dire conditions-refugee shelters and displacement camps receive no assistance. The occupying forces are even targeting areas where food is being distributed to civilians.”
The health official reported widespread malnutrition across all gaza governorates, with a sharp increase in diseases-particularly among children. Over 400 meningitis cases have been recorded in Gaza as the beginning of this year.
“International organizations must fulfill their obligation to support Gaza’s medical institutions,” he emphasized.
