X platform suspends Japanese account of Imam Khamenei following surge in user engagement

The account, managed by the official media platform Khamenei.ir and accessible at https://x.com/Hamenei_ja, had gained significant attention from Japanese-speaking users. During the recent 12-day war imposed by the Zionist regime, the account’s follower count more than tripled, and several posts received tens of thousands of views.

The page regularly featured the statements, activities, and news of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khamenei, and operated in full accordance with the platform’s guidelines. Despite this, X has yet to offer any official explanation for the suspension of the account.

Khamenei.ir maintains numerous accounts in various languages on X—including English, Arabic, French, Turkish, German, Indonesian, Hindi, Urdu, Russian, and others—in order to reach the vast international audience of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
