Al-Qassam Brigades Catch Zionist Regime’s Army Off Guard
The Al-Qassam Brigades released footage of a meticulously executed lethal ambush against Israeli forces in Khan Younis’ Al-Mahatta district during the third phase of ground operations in Gaza. The operation resulted in multiple Israeli military casualties.
According to webangah News Agency, four Qassam fighters infiltrated through destroyed buildings to reach an israeli tank and armored personnel carrier from the occupation army’s 3rd Battalion. One fighter detonated an explosive device at zero range against the tank, followed by two Yasin-105 anti-armor rockets. Rescue forces entering the area faced direct gunfire from resistance fighters.
Military analysts described this as among Qassam’s most precise field operations in recent months. Hatem al-Falahi, a military expert, called it a textbook tactical assault based on surprise and rapid destruction principles: “Such operations rely on support teams, secure bases, precise intelligence, and operational agility.”
Al-Falahi noted subsequent clashes lasted five hours, with Israel unable to quickly evacuate casualties due to heavy fire and incomplete air dominance. He emphasized Khan Younis’ urban density creates ideal guerrilla warfare conditions where Palestinian resistance leverages tunnel networks and rubble for tactical initiative.
Military analyst Fayez al-Duwairi stated this operation demonstrates Palestine’s shift toward attrition warfare against Israel through mobile ambushes and targeted urban combat tactics. Referencing another recent operation in Al-Shujaiya by Al-Quds brigades units, he said: “These operations now display field execution skills worthy of military academy instruction.”
Al-Duwairi stressed Palestinian resistance has moved beyond pure defense through coordinated reconnaissance-assault units exploiting underground tunnels and precise enemy movement tracking – forcing Israel into costly military stalemates even in nominally controlled areas.
