Trump Questions Capability to Strike Moscow; Zelensky: Provide Weapons, We Will Attack
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Financial Times, U.S. President Donald Trump privately urged Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky to increase attacks inside Russian territory. He directly asked whether Kyiv could target Moscow and St.Petersburg if supplied with appropriate weapons.
The report quotes two individuals familiar with the call saying that on July 4, Trump asked Zelensky: “Volodymyr, can you hit Moscow? … Can you also hit St. Petersburg?” Zelensky answered, “Definitely. If you give us weapons, we can.”
These sources told the British newspaper that this tense exchange came a day after a strained phone call between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin – a call Trump later described as “bad.”
