US and European Troika Issue Alleged Ultimatum to Iran
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, reported that the American website Axios alleges that the foreign ministers of the United States, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom have set late August as the final deadline for a nuclear deal with Iran.
These countries claim that if no agreement is reached by then, plans to reimpose sanctions on Iran at the UN Security Council will be implemented.
According to this source, European countries-who have shown no notable reaction or condemnation to aggressive actions by both the U.S. and Israel involving attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities-have stated they will refrain from imposing sanctions if Iran provides assurance to the international community about its nuclear programme.
This allegation against Iran’s nuclear activities comes while Americans-and notably former President donald Trump-had previously asserted that attacks on Iranian facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Arak had entirely dismantled Tehran’s nuclear program.
However, these claims were later denied by U.S. media outlets, a advancement that reportedly angered Trump.
