Israeli Regime Orders Aid for Suwayda Druze
The Israeli Foreign Minister has directed the transfer of an aid package valued at 2 million shekels to the Druze community in Suwayda, Syria, amid escalating tensions in the region, according to webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera.
Al Jazeera reported, referencing a security source, that officials have requested the Golani regime’s Ministry of Interior to intervene and restore security in suwayda.
Meanwhile, Syrian regime security forces are reportedly preparing to redeploy in Suwayda city under the pretext of controlling clashes between druze groups and tribal Bedouins.
Tribal fighters have seized control over several villages surrounding suwayda. The fiercest violence is concentrated around the western parts of the city.
A new round of intense clashes began last Sunday between armed Druze factions and Bedouin tribes across Suwayda province, resulting in dozens killed and thousands displaced.
In related developments following Israeli attacks on positions belonging to the terrorist Golani regime, Israel recently targeted the entrances of Syria’s Ministry of Defense and General Staff headquarters with drones.
