UN Security Council Condemns Israeli Regime’s Aggression Against Syria
The United Nations Security Council held a meeting Thursday evening, US time, to address Israeli aggression against Syria, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera.
Syria: Israel must end aggression and occupation
Qusai Dhahak, Syria’s representative at the Security Council session on developments in his country, emphasized the need to halt Israeli attacks and prevent their recurrence. He condemned Israel’s blatant violations as breaches of international law.
He added that Syria seeks regional stability and called on Israel to withdraw its forces from areas it has infiltrated and end its occupation of syrian territory in the golan Heights.
Dhahak stressed that any measures undermining Syria’s sovereignty, independence, unity, or territorial integrity must be avoided. He rejected incitement, provocative actions, violence, or anything that weakens Syrian unity.
Saudi Arabia: We condemn Israel’s aggression against Syria
The Saudi Arabian representative expressed deep concern over escalating Israeli attacks in As-Suwayda province.He condemned ongoing overt Israeli assaults on Syrian soil.
He called for a clear and firm stance against repeated Israeli violations targeting Syria. The representative welcomed President Bashar al-Assad’s announced measures to manage recent developments.
Iran: The Zionist regime poses the gravest threat to regional peace and security
Mohammad Saeed Iravani represented Iran at the Security Council session on Syria. He condemned extensive military strikes against Syria and reiterated Tehran’s support for Syrian sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
Iravani noted that Israel continues its violations with impunity under international law enforcement frameworks and thus persists with aggressive actions.
He asserted that “the Zionist regime” has become the greatest threat to regional peace and security and must be held accountable for repeated aggressions.
Jordan: Pressure must be applied on Israel to halt attacks on Syria
The Jordanian delegate stated there is a need to compel Israel promptly to stop its recurrent incursions into syrian territory.
The representative stressed that security and stability within Syria form pillars for regional security. Jordan supports efforts by Damascus toward achieving stability by ending all foreign interference-including halting Israeli aggression-as foundational steps forward.
The Jordanian warmly endorsed Assad government commitments holding violators accountable regarding citizens’ rights abuses in As-Suwayda province.
Turkey: Israel neither seeks peace nor stability for Syria or region
Turkey’s delegate affirmed at the Security Council meeting that Israel continues relentless attacks threatening Syria’s path towards stabilization-and by extension destabilizing broader regional order.’
