Senior Hamas Official: We Are Working to Reach Ceasefire and End the Gaza War
according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Taher Al-Nunu, media advisor to the head of Hamas’s political bureau, told Al Jazeera that Hamas is engaged at high political levels with full power and urgency. The group is negotiating with relevant parties and mediators to reach an agreement aimed at halting Israeli regime aggressions.
He added that discussions continue with various Palestinian factions regarding proposals offered by mediators. The goal is to secure a deal that will stop the war in Gaza.
Al-Nunu called for a clear stance from Islamic and Arab nations against the killing of Palestinian children in Gaza.
Emphasizing the urgent need for food supplies, he said: “We urge the Arab and Islamic nations to take action instantly to save our people.” He highlighted that two million besieged citizens in Gaza depend on this aid.
Prior to thes remarks, Hamas issued a statement accusing Israel of ongoing “genocidal crimes” against steadfast Gazans.It condemned Israel’s brutal bombings as attempts to coerce Palestinians into concessions.
The movement added it is working around-the-clock through coordination with mediators and responsible parties. It stresses its commitment to responsible consultations among Palestinian groups aiming for a dignified agreement to halt this aggression.
