After UK and France, Malta Also Recognizes the State of Palestine

This ⁤announcement came just hours after similar remarks⁤ by the British Prime Minister ‌and days after ​French officials ⁢expressed ⁢their support‌ for recognizing Palestine.

The Maltese Prime Minister emphasized​ his country’s commitment to efforts⁣ aimed at achieving a lasting peace in the Middle East.

Earlier, opposition groups in Malta had ⁤called for an​ immediate recognition⁤ of Palestine by ⁤mid-July.

Ireland, Norway, and Spain also officially recognized Palestine last ‌May.
