Palestinian Representative: Israel Denies What the World Witnesses
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, Riyad Mansour, Palestine’s representative to the United Nations, warned during a Security Council session early Wednesday about the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza.He emphasized that there is a global consensus on the urgent need to end the war in Gaza.
Mansour sharply criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet, asserting that Israel is pursuing full occupation of Gaza despite international calls for peace. The world demands an immediate halt to hostilities.
Highlighting Israel’s denial of widespread hunger and other crimes in Gaza, Mansour said: “Israel denies what the entire world witnesses.” He described the humanitarian situation as catastrophic and accused Israel of enforcing a policy designed to starve two million Palestinians under a severe and suffocating blockade.
Mansour also warned that Israel exploits concerns over its prisoners as a pretext to continue committing these crimes.
The Palestinian envoy concluded by stating that peace in the region can only begin once the war in Gaza ends.
