Global Shipping Giant Refuses Red Sea Return Amid Yemen Fears

The CEO of the world’s largest shipping company expressed ​doubt over resuming the company’s operations in ‍the Red Sea and Suez Canal.

According‍ to the ‌English section of webangah news Agency,​ citing mehr News Agency and ⁢Al-Masirah, ⁣the ⁣CEO of Maersk, the global⁢ shipping giant, stated that he does not⁣ expect the ‌company to resume its⁢ activities in the ‍Red Sea and Suez Canal ​this year.

He ⁢added that recent attacks in the Red Sea and ongoing developments in Gaza make him pessimistic about restarting operations.

Previously,⁤ Danish company Maersk announced it would suspend ship traffic to Haifa port in the occupied territories due to rising regional‍ tensions.

The withdrawal of vessels​ linked ​to Israel from the Red ⁤Sea follows prosperous attacks by Yemeni armed forces in support of ​Gaza’s oppressed population.
