According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Palestinian Shihab News Agency via Mehr News Agency, Mohamed Qariqaa and Anas Al-Sharif, two journalists from al Jazeera, were killed during an Israeli attack on the press compound at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza.
The strike also claimed the lives of two photojournalists, Ibrahim Zahir and Mohamed Naufal, along with one other individual.
The 365-square-kilometer Gaza Strip has become one of the most perilous places in the world for news coverage since October 7.
Journalists working as Palestinians living in Gaza now face unprecedented risks during this bloodiest period. Reporting amid internet and electricity outages has become a critically important challenge. Ultimately, Israeli forces systematically target media personnel to prevent reporting on their ethnic cleansing crimes.
Since the war against Gaza began 22 months ago, 235 journalists and media activists have been killed across Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem.
