Details of Egypt and Qatar’s New Ceasefire Plan in Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, a trusted source told Arab Sky News that Egyptian and Qatari mediators, with Turkey’s involvement, have submitted a new plan intended for Hamas leaders.
If Hamas agrees to this plan, an American mediator will review it before presenting it to the Israeli regime.
The proposal emphasizes the release of all Israeli prisoners and the return of other prisoners’ bodies in exchange for freeing a number of Palestinian detainees.
Additionally, under this plan, Hamas must agree to the redeployment of Israeli forces supervised by Arab countries and the United States untill a resolution is reached regarding Hamas’s weapons and presence in Gaza.
The plan also calls for entering a transitional phase involving the cessation of armed activities by Hamas and beginning negotiations aimed at establishing a permanent ceasefire agreement.
