Deepening Divisions Within Israeli Regime Army Amid New Appointments
The English section of webangah News agency reports, citing Mehr News agency and Al Jazeera, that an Israeli media outlet revealed notable tensions among top military officials following unilateral appointment decisions within the Israeli army.
According to this Israeli source, despite opposition from Tel aviv’s Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, the military published a list of officers promoted to brigadier general rank.
The report quotes associates of Katz as saying that Chief of Staff eyal Zamir did not coordinate wiht the Defense Minister before issuing this list.They described Zamir’s actions as unacceptable and inappropriate.
In response,Yair Lapid,leader of Israel’s opposition,stated that “appointing officers in the army without details leaks does not happen without conflict or scandal” and labeled Netanyahu’s cabinet as “mad.”
