Militants Launch Night Attacks on 8 Areas in Pakistan, Killing 6 Soldiers

A ⁢nighttime assault by militants on police posts, checkpoints, and patrols in‍ Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province resulted in the deaths of six military ‌personnel.

According ⁢to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency ‌and Reuters, militants launched ‍coordinated night attacks on police⁣ stations, checkpoints, and patrol units across seven⁢ districts in the volatile Khyber ‍Pakhtunkhwa province in northwestern Pakistan. ⁢At​ least six soldiers ‌were killed during thes assaults.

Mohammad Ali Babakhel, a Pakistani police official, stated that militants used mortars and rocket-propelled grenades ‌in some of the attacks.

He added that nine other⁤ military personnel were injured.The terrorist group ‌Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan claimed ⁢duty for these nighttime assaults.

The frequency ​of militant attacks against Pakistan’s security forces has increased⁤ in recent ⁤months amid ongoing shortages of equipment faced by‍ police forces nationwide.
