Egypt: No Response Yet from Tel Aviv on Ceasefire Proposal
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Arabiya, Tamim Khalaf, the official spokesperson for Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, emphasized that a ceasefire in Gaza is the key to allowing humanitarian aid into the enclave. Cairo has not yet received any formal reply from Israel concerning the ceasefire proposal.
Khalaf added: “The ball is now in Tel Aviv’s court to respond to this proposal.”
He stressed that without a realistic political vision for establishing a Palestinian state, the current crisis cannot be resolved.
khalaf also affirmed that egypt remains committed to efforts aimed at achieving stability and returning to a political path.
Earlier, Qatar announced that Hamas had given a positive response to this proposal.
