Palestine Islamic Jihad: Fighters Will Engage in Full-Scale Battle with Occupiers
The Palestinian Islamic jihad issued a statement reacting to the Israeli Ministry of War’s approval of plans to occupy Gaza, according to webangah News Agency.
Islamic Jihad stated: “The reports by enemy Zionist media about the approval of plans to occupy Gaza City by Israel katz, thier Minister of war, confirm that the occupiers are obstructing any efforts toward a ceasefire. This regime is founded on massacres and war crimes against women, children, and civilians.”
The statement added: “The enemy’s excuses to justify its aggressions are hollow. If they think that resistance will agree under pressure and military attacks via Egypt-Qatar ceasefire proposals, they are mistaken. The enemy should remember what happened to their soldiers during Operation ’Gideon’s Carts 1.'”
Islamic Jihad also affirmed: “If the enemy believes it can retrieve its prisoners through brutality exercised over the past two years, it is wrong; all its efforts have failed against Gaza’s resistance.”
“Resistance forces will continue confronting the occupiers,” their statement read. “The only way to free their prisoners is by stopping aggressions and attacks, lifting the blockade, fully withdrawing from Gaza, and reaching a prisoner exchange agreement.”
The movement urged all parties-especially Egyptian and Qatari mediators-to exert every effort to halt Israeli aggression and crimes against Gaza’s people, end the siege, and stop this genocide escalating due to actions by Israel’s criminal cabinet.
meanwhile, Hebrew-language media reported that Israel’s Minister of War and Chief of Staff have approved plans for occupying Gaza City.
According to Kan News network in Hebrew, these plans involve calling up approximately 60,000 new reservists along with 70,000 previously planned troops-bringing total ready reservists for this operation close to 130,000.
A military source told Kan News that calls for reservist mobilization will begin tomorrow but troop assembly is expected about two weeks later.
Yinon Yitih from i24 News cited Southern Command estimates projecting around 12 combat brigades will operate simultaneously inside Gaza during this campaign.
An reporter from Channel 14 confirmed that as part of expanding military operations in Gaza Strip,the army has decided to initiate mobilisation orders for 60 thousand reservists.
