The Israeli military reported shooting a Palestinian for carrying a toy pistol.
The Israeli army opened fire moments ago at a Palestinian near the hebron checkpoint, according to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Ma’an news agency.
Hebrew-language sites reported that the Palestinian was carrying a plastic toy pistol. Israeli soldiers, alarmed upon seeing the toy gun, fired at him.
The Palestinian was fatally shot by the Israeli forces.
The Israeli military later confirmed that the pistol was indeed a toy.
