US sources report Pentagon plans to deploy troops to Chicago to address what is described as crime and violence.
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Sputnik, US officials have announced plans to send troops to Chicago to combat crime.
These sources stated that the Pentagon has been preparing a plan for several weeks aimed at deploying forces to Chicago as part of Donald Trump’s efforts to reduce what he calls crime.
The plan involves mobilizing thousands of National Guard personnel.
This comes after Trump recently declared that he placed the capital’s police department under direct federal control and deployed about 800 National Guard soldiers in Washington, D.C.
