U.S. officials report a deadly air accident at Bangor International Airport.
Amy Thibodeau,spokesperson for Bangor International Airport in Maine,confirmed the crash of a small Cessna 185 aircraft at the airport. The pilot, who was the sole occupant of the plane, died as a result of the accident.
Thibodeau stated that following the crash, Bangor International Airport’s runway was closed for several hours. She added that this is the first fatal air accident in the airport’s history.
The U.S. National Transportation Safety board (NTSB) issued a statement saying that the cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
