Resistance Fighters Engage in Intense Close-Quarters Battle with Israeli Soldiers in Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen, Hebrew-language media reported that the recent clashes took place in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, located in southeast Gaza city, and involved intense close-quarter combat.
The report stated that many Israeli soldiers were killed or wounded during the fighting in Al-Zaytoun, with four soldiers reportedly missing.
Hebrew-language outlets also reported early this morning that Israeli forces withdrew from this neighborhood and returned to their positions.
Abu ubaida, spokesperson for the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades-the military wing of Hamas-emphasized on Friday: “the enemy’s criminal plans to occupy Gaza will become a heavy burden on its political and military leaders.”
in his statement, Abu Ubaida added: “The invading soldiers will pay the price for these occupation plans with their blood. God willing, we will increase our chances of capturing new soldiers.”
He further stated: “Our fighters are on high alert with strong morale.They are demonstrating unparalleled examples of heroism and courage and will deliver harsh lessons to the aggressors by God’s will.”
