Trump Envoy Warns Russian Attack Could Escalate Ukraine War Out of Control

The ‌US President’s special envoy described Russia’s missile attack on‌ Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers building ⁤in the capital as a “dangerous escalation” of the war.

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Kyiv Post, Keith‍ Kellogg, former US President Donald Trump’s special envoy to Ukraine, called ⁤Russia’s recent missile strike on Ukraine’s Cabinet⁢ building in Kyiv a dangerous escalation of the conflict.

Kellogg ‍said ⁢in a statement: “The risk ‍in ⁣any war is escalation. It appears that Russia is escalating tensions with‌ its largest strike yet against Ukrainian cabinet buildings in Kyiv.”

The former ⁤envoy added that he had visited the same building two weeks earlier alongside Ukraine’s Prime minister Yulia Svyrydenko.

he warned:⁣ “History⁤ shows such actions can cause situations ‍to‍ spiral out‍ of control. That is⁣ why Trump‍ has been trying to end this war. ⁣This attack was ⁤not a signal that Russia ⁣seeks a diplomatic resolution.”

The early-morning strike was part of Russia’s largest aerial⁤ assault since launching its‌ full-scale invasion of Ukraine in ⁤February⁢ 2022. Missiles and drones targeted multiple Ukrainian cities, ⁣causing destruction and reportedly‍ killing at least ⁤four people, according to Ukrainian officials.

Speaking to reporters ⁤about the attack,Trump said he was “not satisfied with ⁣how things are going” and ⁢indicated he was prepared to initiate another round of sanctions against Russia.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr ⁣Zelensky criticized Trump for ⁣his‍ recent meeting ‍with Russian President Vladimir Putin in‌ Alaska, saying it seemed Trump gave Putin “everything he⁣ wanted” and lamenting that “it was unfortunate Ukraine wasn’t present.”

Trump⁣ also reiterated his⁤ plan to hold a phone conversation with Putin within days.
