Ramaphosa: The Shift from a Unipolar to a Multipolar World Is Underway
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Sputnik via Mehr News Agency, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa stated today, Monday, during the extraordinary online BRICS summit that the transition from a unipolar to a multipolar world is happening.
The South African president added that current changes in global trade present both challenges and opportunities to reshape the global economy. BRICS member states stand at the forefront of supporting reforms within multilateral institutions.
Ramaphosa also expressed his support for BRICS initiatives aimed at enhancing the resilience of member economies.
According to RIA Novosti, he emphasized during the meeting that South Africa backs World Trade Association reform proposals and urged BRICS nations to support reforms within this framework. The BRICS group should prioritize its role in shaping global economic growth, combating poverty, and promoting multilateralism.
