First Photo of Khalil al-Hayya After Failed Assassination Shows Victory Symbol
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Sud al-Balad, a photo of a senior Hamas leader in a hospital bed was released hours after an Israeli attack in Doha.
Khalil al-Hayya appears in the image making a defiant gesture with his fingers symbolizing victory, directed at Israel’s assassination attempt.
Previously, Hamas announced that the Israeli terrorist operation aimed at assassinating its leaders in Doha had failed.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement issued a statement calling Israel’s desperate attempt to kill Hamas negotiators in Qatar’s capital “a horrific crime, blatant aggression, and clear violation of all international laws.”
The statement added that this act constitutes an infringement on Qatar’s sovereignty-a country that, alongside Egypt, plays a crucial and responsible role in mediating efforts to halt hostilities and achieve ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreements. This action further exposes the occupiers’ criminal nature and their determination to destroy any opportunity for peace negotiations.
Hamas emphasized that the enemy failed to assassinate members of their negotiation delegation but caused several brothers to become martyrs who attained the highest honour. They are:
– Martyr Jihad Labad – Khalil al-Hayya’s office manager
– martyr Humam al-Hayya – son of Khalil al-Hayya
– Martyr Abdallah Abdulwahed – security guard
– Martyr Moamen Hassouna – security guard
– Martyr Ahmed Al-Mamluk – security guard
Hamas also expressed condolences for Badr Saad Mohammed Al-Humaidi from Qatar’s internal security forces.
the statement noted: Targeting the negotiation team while U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent proposal was under consideration clearly proves without doubt that Benjamin Netanyahu and his cabinet do not seek any agreement.Instead, they aim to eliminate every chance for success and derail international efforts.
addressing the U.S.government directly, Hamas declared it holds Washington complicit with Israel in this crime due to its continuous support for occupation violations against palestinians.
