Guterres Issues Latest Statement on Gaza

United Nations secretary-General addresses the Gaza⁣ situation.

According to the English section⁣ of webangah News Agency, citing Al ​Jazeera via Mehr News ⁢Agency, Antonio Guterres, the United Nations Secretary-General, has made a statement regarding Gaza.

Guterres said: “What is happening in Gaza is unacceptable morally, politically, ⁢and legally. The mediation efforts, ‌which Qatar has expressed readiness‌ to resume, are very vital.”

He added: “I will report on ⁢the ⁢deteriorating situation in ​Gaza and the ‍West ​Bank to the International Criminal Court.”

“We must make every effort to support a ‌two-state solution,” he continued.⁣ “Without it, ‌there will be no peace in the Middle East.”

Guterres also noted that ⁢the recent attack on ⁣Qatar⁣ demonstrated Israel’s disregard⁢ for ceasefire negotiations in gaza. he ​stressed that establishing a‌ ceasefire there is essential.

The ‍Secretary-General announced his willingness⁢ to ​meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin ⁤netanyahu during the upcoming General Assembly session.

Outlining ⁣Gaza’s dire conditions, he described how residents suffer ​from famine and displacement while⁢ lacking access to humanitarian aid.
