Hezbollah: Resistance Arms Prevent Israeli Goals in Lebanon

A senior Hezbollah official stated that the resistance’s weapons prevent Zionist objectives in Lebanon and that efforts‍ to disarm them are not an‍ internal demand but serve foreign agendas.

The ⁣English section of webangah News agency, citing mehr news Agency and Al-Nashra news site, reported that hassan Ezzeddine, representative of the Loyalty to ‍the Resistance bloc in the lebanese Parliament, condemned continuous Israeli regime aggressions. ‍He described attacks such as targeting a civilian vehicle near the entrance of Tebnine Public Hospital as clear violations, while criticizing the Lebanese‌ government ⁢for taking no practical action.

Ezzeddine emphasized, “We are fully prepared to engage wholeheartedly in the parliamentary elections.”

He added that popular supporters who‍ embraced the⁤ resistance during its toughest ‍times will continue their backing ⁢and‍ demonstrate it through their votes by⁤ choosing resistance candidates.

Ezzeddine⁤ called on Lebanon’s government to fulfill its responsibilities by showing citizens that if military measures cannot deter aggression, it will raise its voice diplomatically and politically at⁣ both regional ⁣and international levels. This ⁢could include filing complaints with the‌ UN Security Council ⁣and⁢ summoning ambassadors‌ from five countries ‌deemed responsible for ongoing violations.

The senior ⁢Hezbollah member also addressed recent developments in Lebanon and the region. He said decisions made by Lebanon’s government⁢ during meetings on August 5th and 7th were not ⁤domestic demands but foreign-and specifically Israeli-impositions.

He pointed out that ⁣”the resistance’s weapons constitute an ‌obstacle ‍preventing Israel from ‌achieving ⁢its goals of occupation in Lebanon.” According to him, these arms are exempt from ⁤militia disarmament outlined in the Taif Agreement, which differentiates between militia weapons ⁢and those of legitimate resistance. Moreover, he noted that Lebanon’s first ministerial statement after⁣ signing the National Loyalty Document reaffirmed Lebanese rights‍ alongside⁢ support for liberating their land from Israeli occupation. this stance is further‌ endorsed by statements made by President michel Aoun and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
