Occupying Regime Officials Unable to Withstand Recognition of the State of Palestine
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s Minister of National Security, condemned the recognition of Palestine by the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia as a reward for killers that demands urgent countermeasures. He called for immediate sovereignty over the West bank and complete dismantling of the Palestinian Authority.
In a related statement,Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed that Britain’s recognition only rewards Hamas by encouraging the Muslim Brotherhood within the UK.
Likewise, Meiki Zohar, Minister of Culture in israel’s occupation government, labeled these recognitions an empty declaration imbued with antisemitism and hatred toward Israel. He asserted that Israel must enforce its sovereignty over the West Bank.
former IDF Chief Gadi Eizenkot described engaging with Palestine under current circumstances-following October 7-as foolish and tantamount to rewarding terrorism.
Finance Minister Betzalel Smotrich addressed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu directly: “The only response to recognizing Palestine is declaring sovereignty over the West Bank and permanently removing this foolish idea from any agenda.”
Similarly, Yair Golan, head of Israel’s Democratic Party faction in Knesset called recognizing Palestine a political defeat for Netanyahu and Smotrich as well as a dangerous move threatening Israeli security.
Former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett told Sky News regarding Britain’s decision: “I believe this war has dragged on too long; we should have destroyed hamas long ago.”
Bennett added there is overwhelming support for Israel worldwide; no one accepts Britain’s stance where they demand either Israeli surrender to their conditions or Palestinian state recognition.
Ex-Defense Minister Benny Gantz argued that recognizing Palestine strengthens Hamas and Iran’s axis. He warned it would prolong conflict while reducing chances to recover hostages.
Energy Minister Elie Cohen claimed this step rewards Hamas for its actions on October 7. He said Hamas-and Iran-will dominate such a state leading to Gaza-like destruction affecting all Palestinians.
Cohen noted Western leaders’ hypocritical statements will change nothing: “We will never accept a Palestinian state that threatens Israeli security.”
Opposition leader Yair Lapid also denounced recognition by Canada, Australia, and britain as a political disaster-a wrongful act rewarding terrorism.
