Osama Hamdan: Hamas Leaders Fear No Assassination; Palestinian Defeat Is Impossible
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, Osama Hamdan, a senior hamas leader, told Al Jazeera that establishing a Palestinian state is a natural right guaranteed by international law.
He stressed that practical steps must be taken at the international level to form a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. He called on the international community to impose political and economic sanctions on Israel to pressure it into recognizing Palestinian rights.
Hamdan stated that Israel aims to create a large state in the region by absorbing arab countries and parts of others.
He added that the Al-Aqsa Storm operation has revived the Palestinian cause. The way out of the current crisis depends on reaching a complete agreement to end occupation, halt aggression, and enable an autonomous Palestinian state.
The Hamas leader noted he was not present during Israel’s terrorist attack on Hamas leadership meetings in Doha. He affirmed that Hamas leaders do not fear threats from occupiers and will not back down from their positions.
Hamdan said the world now recognizes occupation as a threat to regional security and peace.
He underscored that Palestinians do not need guardianship and are capable of determining their own fate. He added Israel shows no willingness for negotiations or ending the war.
The Hamas official declared that Israel has come face-to-face with this reality: defeating the Palestinian people is impossible.
He concluded by asserting Palestine will be established with Jerusalem as its capital, while envisioning no future for the occupying regime.
