Panama’s President: Panama Canal Belongs to Us and Will Remain So

According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing ‍Mehr News Agency ‍and the United Nations website, Panama’s President José Raúl Molina stated today,‌ Wednesday, at the eightieth session of⁣ the UN General Assembly, addressing President Trump: “The ‌Panama ‍Canal belongs to Panama‍ and will remain so.”

The Panamanian president also ⁣strongly condemned human rights violations committed by certain world powers.

This statement comes amid repeated claims by the U.S.⁤ governance under President⁣ Trump that control of the “Panama Canal” should ​return to America-an assertion firmly rejected by Panama.
