International Atomic Energy Agency Resumes Inspections in Iran
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Mayadeen, reported that on Friday the International atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) stated it had restarted inspections in iran following a pause caused by attacks from the United States and Israel on Iranian nuclear sites.
The IAEA added that the inspections are confidential and it cannot disclose the specific locations inspected but confirmed they took place this week.
Last Tuesday, Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister, signed a new technical cooperation protocol with Rafael Grossi, IAEA director General, in Cairo, Egypt. this document outlines new procedures for Tehran’s collaboration with the agency.
Grossi commented on the agreement: “We have reached a technical understanding with Iran regarding inspection notifications and their implementation.”
