Humanity Loses an Exceptional Figure with the Martyrdom of Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al-Manar via Mehr News Agency, Talal Arslan, leader of Lebanon’s Democratic Party and a prominent Lebanese politician, spoke on the first anniversary of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s martyrdom about his special relationship with this key figure of the Islamic nation. He said: “Until I attended the funeral procession of Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s pure body, I could not believe his martyrdom.”
He added: ”Every meeting I had with Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah lasted for hours. Despite pressures, grief, and injustice around him, his smile never faded from his face. He was a figure all nations looked up to-a feat far from easy-and in my view, his nerves were made of steel. At the height of power and decisiveness,he remained deeply compassionate.”
The Lebanese politician emphasized: “Our meetings were always fruitful with our motto being: ‘Honesty, integrity, ethics, determination and frankness.’ Martyr Nasrallah was our elder brother; we discussed many issues together. Even in his criticisms he acted with delicacy and compassion.”
Talal Arslan affirmed: “Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was a lovable person-honest and steadfast-with a rare mix of moral virtues hardly found in one individual. He was more than just a politician or leader; after his martyrdom humanity as a whole lost an unusual and great personality-let alone the Islamic nation.”
The head of Lebanon’s Democratic Party concluded: “The character of Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is unparalleled for every era and time. My father always said hatred is the trait of cowards while kindness defines true men-and we clearly saw this kindness reflected in Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s persona.”
