US Ambassador Visits Cairo from Tel Aviv; ‘Huckabee’ Expresses Concern
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, Mike Huckabee, the US ambassador to the occupied territories, plans to visit Egypt amid escalating tensions between Tel Aviv and Cairo to consult wiht Egyptian officials.
US officials told The New York Times that discussions during these meetings will focus on the Gaza war.
This marks the first official visit by a US ambassador in the occupied territories to Egypt in decades.
Yesterday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-sisi emphasized during a visit to an Egyptian military academy that no one can commit aggression against Egypt.
He stressed that public awareness of current regional developments is crucial as the region faces a sensitive phase, requiring all actions to be carefully planned and considered.
Earlier, Osama Abdel Khalek, Egypt’s representative to the UN Security Council, warned that Israeli attacks on gaza threaten a peace agreement with egypt that has held for five decades.
He added this situation poses serious risks for regional stability.
