Trump and Netanyahu Clash as Kushner and Witkoff’s Patience Runs Out
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, an American media outlet has uncovered what is happening between the Israeli Prime Minister and Trump.
Axios, quoting two aides of U.S. President Donald Trump, reported that if Benjamin netanyahu rejects a ceasefire plan in Gaza, Trump may turn away from him.
The news site also quoted a senior U.S. government official saying that support for Israel has declined to an unprecedented level, including within the White House itself.
Continuing on, Axios cited two of Trump’s advisors who said that the peace process in Gaza is a test of the president’s sincerity.”If Trump cannot persuade Netanyahu to end the war, everything he hopes to achieve in the Middle East will be lost,” thay warned.
Another Trump advisor told Axios that patience for Netanyahu’s behaviour is running out among Steve Witkoff, Trump’s special envoy to the Middle East, and Jared kushner, his senior advisor.
The official explained that Witkoff has engaged with Israel while Kushner worked with Arab countries; however, both have grown somewhat disillusioned with Israel. Some presidential advisers have informed Trump that Netanyahu is exploiting him and promoting instability for his own political survival.
Axios quoted a White House source saying: ”It is clear that Netanyahu’s concern over his trial has driven his aggressive conduct. We do not know what he plans while he should be focusing on Israel and Gaza. Netanyahu must stop interfering in U.S. domestic politics.”
The report added that U.S. and Israeli officials agree Netanyahu must choose between Trump’s demand to end the war and his extremist partners.
Simultaneously occurring, ABC News cited two sources confirming ongoing disputes between Tel Aviv and Washington regarding trump’s plan to end hostilities in Gaza. They identified at least three points of disagreement.
