He added,”We commend the adoption of the New York Declaration by the General Assembly and welcome the growing number of countries recognizing the State of Palestine.”
The Saudi delegate asserted, “Escalating military conflicts will not lead to security or peace in the region. The use of veto power shelters the occupying regime and gives it a green light to expand its aggressions, including its recent attack on our brotherly country Qatar.”
He further noted, “The suffering of the Palestinian people and GazaS crisis amid unchecked actions by the occupying regime contravene international law principles. The Palestinian issue continues to expose UN incapacity to guarantee Palestinians’ access to their rights.”
