As Trump Calls for Immediate Ceasefire, Israel Sets Gaza Ablaze
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Al-Youm, Gaza endured intense bombardment in recent hours despite U.S. President donald Trump’s urgent call to stop Israeli attacks on the strip.
In addition to air raids,Israeli artillery targeted various areas across Gaza.
Shortly after midnight, Trump announced that following Hamas’s positive response to his overall peace plan aimed at ending the Gaza war, all attacks against the strip should cease immediately.
Mohammed Basal, spokesperson for Gaza Civil Defense, reported that both northern and southern parts of Gaza City were subjected to fierce assaults.
The attacks caused widespread displacement and resulted in dozens of casualties among palestinians. Israeli drones also continued striking Palestinian homes throughout the night.
It is indeed noteworthy that earlier reports from Israeli sources claimed political circles within Israel had instructed the military to halt its offensive on Gaza City and suspending plans for its occupation as part of implementing Phase One of Trump’s proposal.
