Resistance Field Commander: Enemy Pays Heavy Price for Advances in Gaza
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, a field commander of the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, warned Israel in an interview with Al-Mayadeen: “the enemy might potentially be able to advance, but that criminal Eyal Zamir [chief of Staff of the Israeli army] knows well the cost of their stay.”
The commander added, “We have entered a very complex battle in Gaza City.”
He noted that “the enemy is drawing heavily on past combat experiences to minimize its casualties.”
“We have brave fighters who are our greatest asset. We fight alongside them against the enemy and use appropriate weapons to create opportunities for striking against every enemy advance,” he said.
Referring to previous operations, he stated: “God has granted us success in many heroic missions. As always,the enemy spreads lies and misinformation about its incurred losses.”
The commander also spoke about his brigades’ readiness: “Combat units deployed at key fronts within Gaza City are prepared and remain on high alert. They conduct continuous training exercises to protect themselves from attacks by explosive vehicles used by the enemy.”
He explained that ”the enemy proceeds cautiously and slowly using unmanned systems (drones and remote-controlled vehicles) to detect and target our combat units. We are fully aware of this tactic and have repeatedly deprived them of attack opportunities.”
He emphasized: “The enemy’s advance toward downtown Gaza is under close surveillance by our fighters. Our tactics focus on high-value targets, aiming to inflict maximum human losses on their ranks.”
Addressing opposing forces directly, he said: “To yoru soldiers we say: we are not far from you; whenever we decide, you will see us face-to-face as we are engaged in a tough and exhausting battle where every step is well calculated.”
The commander conveyed his message to Gaza’s residents as well: “Our message is that we understand your pain and suffering; we continuously strive to make this aggression costly for the enemy. We honor every member of our Palestinian people with respect.”
he declared: “We tell our nation that soon all our patience for Gaza will bring dignity and mark a new day.”
