Poland: Norwegian F-35s Arrive for Joint Patrols with the Netherlands
The Polish armed forces stated that Norwegian F-35 fighters arrived on Monday to participate in joint air patrols alongside Polish and Dutch pilots, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera.
The European countries involved claim these patrols respond to sightings of drones in their airspace, wich they allege originate from Russia. moscow has repeatedly denied these unsubstantiated accusations.
Earlier reports from RBC Ukraine indicated that Norwegian F-35 jets would enter Poland for these joint missions on Monday, including participation by Polish and Dutch aircraft.
The F-35s landed at Poznań-Krzesiny airport, home to the 31st Tactical Air Base.
Additional F-35 fighters are expected to join this operation later this month.
This marks the second mission of its kind involving Norwegian F-35s in Poland this year. The first began in January and continued through summer.
