According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing a Telegram channel affiliated with the Samoud convoy, on Monday night, coinciding with the Czech Republic’s election night, 100 activists gathered in central Prague. They blocked city streets for more than two hours in solidarity with Palestine and the global Samoud flotilla.
Forty protesters remained on tram tracks even after police arrived. Seventeen were arrested and detained at a police station until late at night.
Following Israel’s seizure of ships from the “Al-Samoud” convoy and detainment of activists aboard them, tens of thousands worldwide have taken to streets in various cities to protest these actions by the Israeli regime.
The global Samoud flotilla, consisting of over 50 ships aiming to assist Gaza’s population and break its blockade, departed from Barcelona Port in early September. Additional vessels gradually joined from different parts of the world.
